Last summer, I received an exciting opportunity to join a mission trip. However, due to my school schedule, I decided to hold off on registering early to avoid missing exams. As autumn approached, I realized that registrations had closed, and upon consulting my aunt, who was also planning to go, I learned that all spots had been filled. Around new year I met with one of the organizers, he encouraged me to stay vigilant as cancellations often occurred. For a month, I diligently checked for openings, only to receive repeated responses that there was no room available. I decided to ask God and started to pray about it, asking for guidance on whether I should pursue this mission trip. Humbly, I prayed for a sign, "Lord, if it is your will for me to go, please make room for me on this mission trip." A few weeks later, I received an unexpected text from my aunt bearing incredible news – a spot had opened up for me to attend the mission trip. This journey taught me that perseverance in prayer and faith in God is something that we need to keep holding on to no matter what we go through in life. Despite initial setbacks, I remained steadfast in prayer and if God had a plan for me to go, then the opportunity would open up for me again. It was a powerful reminder that God is at work and the importance of trusting in Him even if the answer to your prayer isn't always answered to always trust In him because he knows what is best for us.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
