Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Calling

Nurture Each Other in Faith

Light of the World Adventist Youth, at Westminster Seventh Day Adventist Church, offers members - and visitors - a chance to become part of something greater. To grow in their love for God and for one another within our beautiful community. Our mission is to be compassionate, inclusive, and to walk with Jesus. Through gospel, service, worship, and missions, we bring God closer to our hearts and closer to the hearts of those around us.

We are rooted in the stories of the Bible and believe worship is something that can be expressed in everything we do. Our philosophy is founded on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. No matter who you are, there’s a special place for you at our church. Get in touch today or come and visit us in person.

John the Revelator Words and music: Rusty Goodman.© 1974 by First Monday Music (ASCAP) This song also appeared on Conquerors by Acappella. Lead: Keith Lancaster Sample: Windows Media Lyrics: Upon the Isle of Patmus One man was cast one day As he was left alone to die He began to pray The Holy Ghost fell on him The Spirit, he came down Well he began to write about the things he saw The Revelator's name was John Chorus: Talkin' 'bout John the revelator he saw Jerusalem coming down Yes it was John the Revelator And when he looked around He saw feet like brass Eyes like fire Heard a great voice saying Come up higher He was John the Revelator He wrote about the city of God While in the Spirit praying John turned around to see If the voice he had heard Was what it seemed to be Just like many waters A great trumpet sound Well he said I am the first and last The Revelator wrote it down Repeat Chorus (x3) Scriptural Reference: "I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering of the kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. On the Lord's Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said: 'Write on a scroll everything you see and send it to the severn churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodecia. I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters."
